What we do

Cooperative societies are the target groups of our organization as key intermediaries for targeting the rural poor.

Bringing together low-income family farms, and structured from the local to the national level, they have a potential significant leverage effect to act for the benefit of children and to achieve strong sustainability.

Fight against the worst forms of child labor

Child labor is a complex issue. The vast majority of cocoa in West Africa is produced by smallholders. Households living in cocoa-growing areas face the realities of rural poverty, such as land scarcity, food insecurity, limited access to quality education, lack of access to clean water, and inadequate health services.

Our approach pursues the vision of the ICI (International Cocoa Initiative) foundation by raising awareness of the risks of child labor and forced labor where they exist with the support of partners with a view to respecting human rights and children.

Sustainable and climate-smart agriculture

Unpredictable weather conditions, shorter growing periods, droughts, extreme temperatures and increased exposure to crop pests and diseases pose significant challenges for growers around the world. It is therefore necessary to create resilient and sustainable farms.

Deforestation and tree planting

Nearly half of the world's forest cover has already been destroyed, and according to a report by Global Forest Watch, 12 million additional hectares are destroyed each year. Trees are a natural climate solution that captures carbon dioxide (CO2), preventing it from building up in the atmosphere and warming our planet: restoring forest cover through tree plantings and trees shading in productions is more than necessary.

Protection of the environment and biodiversity

While agriculture often has negative effects on biodiversity, it can also have positive effects by integrating natural habitat into production systems, preserving soil life, etc. Farms are thus better able to cope with the effects of climate change, which helps to ensure better livelihoods for producers.

Tailor-made training, advice and coaching

A successful group is made up of motivated employees. Admittedly, with varying talents, skills, lifestyles and genders, it is often difficult to build a team that has a better understanding of the requirements of a standard to be successful in their certification project. And this is where our organization comes into play to bring considerable added value to the groups and their members for the establishment of a culture of change, with a significant impact in terms of performance and sustainable production.
